How to create a SSIS package using BIML

This is the first in a series of posts about Business Intelligence Markup Language (BIML). Today we will create a simple SSIS package called “Hello World”. (Yes, I know it is lame.)

Below is the BIML code to generate a SSIS package.

<Biml xmlns=”http://schemas.varigence.com/biml.xsd “>
<Packages>
<Package Name=”Hello World” ProtectionLevel=”DontSaveSensitive” ConstraintMode=”Linear”></Package>
</Packages>
</Biml>

There is not much to it, but we will expand on this in the days and weeks to come.

Genius lies in simplicity!
